Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)

Course Description

PHTLS was developed by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians and American College of Surgeons to promote critical thinking in addressing multi-system trauma and provide the latest evidence-based treatment practices. PHTLS is recognized around the world as the leading continuing education program for pre-hospital emergency trauma care.

Skills stations in the course include airway management and ventilation, assessment and management, rapid extrication, spinal immobilization, pediatric assessment, pediatric immobilization and evaluation scenarios.
