Virtual Employee Support Groups
- Virtual support groups are available to help your providers and employees come together in a safe space to talk about their current challenges.
- The groups support connection and promote health and well-being. The meetings are held via Zoom and led by trained facilitators—often peers.

- Tips on Managing Stress through Arts
- Church bells during shift changes to recognize our health care staff (7 a.m. and 7 p.m.)
- Developed by Virginia’s COVID-19 Health Care Coordination Committee, this site offers multiple wellness resources, self-care practices and recommendations, and a space to share and read personal testimonies.
Resiliency Trainings through Cornerstone OnDemand
- Employees can access Building Resilience During COVID-19, Chapter 2 through Cornerstone on Demand (CSOD). Leaders can register for Leading For Resilience by registering through CSOD. These trainings are interactive, web-based trainings focused on guiding participants to enhanced resiliency. 100 Virgin Pulse points are awarded to participants.
Moral Distress Consults
- Moral distress consults provide education and tools, facilitated moral distress discussions, and action plan development to help manage moral distress. Contact Phyllis Whitehead at pbwhitehead@carilionclinic.org for more information.
Financial Resources

- EAP has partnered with Freedom First to offer financial coaching to our employees who are experiencing financial issues. For more information on the program, check out this article.
