Step 4: Attend Orientation

Orientation plays an important role in ensuring that you get the information you need to succeed in your new position.

We have several orientation programs. Your recruiter will let you know which program or programs you need to attend. Click on the links to find out more about each program:

• Day One. Most new employees will attend a one-day orientation in Roanoke on their first day at Carilion.
• Day Two. You may need to attend a second day of orientation based on your job role. Your education consultant or your recruiter will discuss this with you on or before your first day. If you don't need to attend Day Two, you will report to your worksite after Day One of orientation.
• Alternative Orientation. If you work for a Primary Care and Regional Medicine practice located more than 100 miles from Roanoke, you will complete orientation online.
• Fitness Facility Orientation. If you work for one of our fitness facilities, you will complete Fitness Facility Orientation online.

What to Wear

Please wear business casual attire (no shorts or jeans) to orientation. For your comfort, we suggest that you bring a light jacket or sweater.
